You need to get a GPS tracking device. It could be a cell phone or a dedicated GPS tracking device to track a person, a vehicle or your asset

(optionally) You need to have a Java and Internet ready cell phone to be used to track GPS device. If all you do is online tracking, skip this step

• Nokia/Motorola/Soniy Ericssion/GSM Phones supporting Java
• All CDMA cell phones supporting Java

For GSP device using text message (SMS) to send out its locations, you need to have a SIM card (GSM only) and a text messaging service plan with a cell phone carrier. Please see further guide here.

For GPS devices using GPRS or IP protocol to send out its locations, you need to have a SIM card (GSM only) and a data plan supporting at least 1 MB of data transmission per month with a cell phone carrier. Please see further guide here.

You need to subscribe to a tracking service provider, like Soniya (Note: Soniya provide the servcie for free) to provide the tracking service and mapping service to you.

Then you will add the device to the tracking application and optionally configure the following desired features:

• Automatic device location reporting (optional)
• Landmark (or called location pin) definition (optional)
• Geo-fence alert for entering or leaving a location, Alert for speeding or mis-appointment (optional)
